Featuring:
- 8+ nights of competition

- Amateur grouping, 18 couples make it to semi's!
- held at Salsa Nights all over New England
Salseros, not many of you have competed or even seen a
full fledged Salsa dance competition around here, but these events are a
great time and we had a blast at the first one last spring! This
competition is designed to be FUN and it's designed so that anyone can
participate! So don't be afraid of competing, it costs you nothing
and you may win some REAL money! The question I ask people when they
aren't sure they want to do it, is if they enjoy watching, and if so why?
If you like watching your friends competing, no matter how good they are,
why wouldn't they enjoy watching you? Get out there and have fun!
Here's how it works:
June 13th to July 30: preliminary rounds. These are
the real fun part! Grab your favorite dance partner and get out on the
dance floor. All the couples in each category will dance at once for
2 minutes, and then each individually for 2 more minutes. Winners
selected by applause, so put on a flashy show and yes, stacking the
audience is allowed! Note, you only need to advance once so no need
to compete each week, other than to practice! Also, if you don't
make it one week, you can try again the next.
Aug 2, Aug 16, semi-final and final rounds. If you
advanced from any ONE of the preliminary rounds, you get to participate in
these two rounds. Format will be similar, except that judging will
be done by a panel of competition judges. Prizes will be awarded at
the finals.
