Flying in to the Boston Salsa Congress™
Are you flying into Boston? Here are some tips.
Boston Logan Airport (BOS) is the closest airport, about 6 miles
away. It's probably about $25 by cab. Logan Airport is right near
downtown, and the event is five minutes North on I-93.
You can also take the subway (called "The T" here in
Boston) for about $1. To do that, take the airport shuttle bus to
the Blue Line, and take it "inbound to State Street";
from there transfer to the Orange Line. Take the Orange Line "Outbound
to Malden Center". Then it's a quick cab or bus ride to the
hotel. Bus Details.
Logan is served non-stop by many airlines, including some budget
airlines like Airtran & Jet Blue.
You can also fly into Providence, RI (PVD), about an hour+ away,
or Manchester, NH (MHT), also about an hour. From there you have
to take a bus to Boston, but if you're on a really tight budget,
it might save you some, since both of these airports are seviced
by Southwest and Delta/Song. If you're with a group, it's probably
cheapest to rent a car for the weekend. A good place for car deals
is at onetravel.com.
Worchester, MA also is serviced by Jet Blue, last I checked.
For an awesome travel website that *will* find you the lowest fare,
go
here and login in with "bostonsalsa" and password
"congress". You can't buy your ticket there, but you can
find out what you should be paying. This is the website of the people
that are behind Orbitz.com,
only it actually tells you more. Orbitz will actually show many
of the same fares, so that's a good place to buy tickets (aside
from the $5 service charge...).
Airfares change constantly all day, so sometimes it's worth waiting
a bit if you don't find something good.
Lastly, need to share a ride or soforth? Leave a message on the
